Great Southwest Home Show in Tulsa, OK
For the past few years, the Quik-Trip Center in Tulsa OK has been home to the Great Southwest Home Show. The Great Southwest Home Show (GSWHS) has drawn thousands of people to their public days, which was held this year on March 3 and 4, 2012. Unlike other 'home shows,' this show actually has homes in it!
There were dozens of manufactured homes on display, all under a climate controlled roof with acres of free parking for the public's comfort and convenience. Public Days attendees came from miles around - including from other states - to see the dozens of manufactured homes on display, with a wide variety of styles and sizes.

For those who have never attended a public days manufactured home show, or who have not done so recently, here are some interesting features to look for in today's manufactured homes:
-
You can see homes that are entry level models - with VOG wall designs - or 'residential' style homes with tape and textured walls and ceilings, like those seen in conventional 'site built' housing.
-
Luxurious master baths with upscale showers, soaker tubs and double vanities with plenty of storage.
-
Spacious walk in closets in the Master Suite.
-
Flat or vaulted ceilings, from 8' to 9' ceiling heights or higher.
-
Typical savings ranges from 25%-35% or more, depending on your market and location.
-
Island Kitchens, with an abundance of cabinetry and optional deluxe appliance packages.
-
“Man cave” video rooms, with theater style seating.
-
Greener designs that can meet or exceed Energy Star standards and save on wasted materials.
-
Safety features that make a modern manufactured home about twice as safe against a fire than conventional 'on site' built housing.
-
Sizes from under 800 square feet to over 3000 square feet are available.
Today's manufactured homes are stronger, smarter, safer, stylish and offer major savings when you buy, and for years after the purchase too. University and other third party studies have proven that size-for-size, today's manufactured homes are lower in initial cost, are less expensive to maintain and are more energy efficient than their conventional housing counterparts.
