Foundation Enclosures

Any home – conventional, mobile or manufactured – that is built over a crawl space has to have some sort of foundation enclosure. For decades, this has been called ‘skirting’ with manufactured homes.

There are all types of ways to create skirting or foundation enclosures for a factory built – or conventional – house. You could do it with masonry, vinyl, metal or other materials.

The video above is for a Do It Yourself (DIY) foundation enclosure, designed for a wetlands area to be critter proof. While we aren’t recommending this by showing the video, this will give you a sense of how creative you can be with a manufactured home.
